Ruth is a PhD student in Cancer Epidemiology and is working on improving prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer. Her research focuses on investigating predictors of colorectal cancer by sub-site using large datasets and on optimising surveillance strategies for patients with an increased risk of colorectal cancer. Prior to starting her PhD at Imperial College in 2019, Ruth worked as a clinical fellow in public health and clinical commissioning. Ruth holds an MBChB (Medicine and Surgery) degree from the University of Liverpool and also gained a Master of Public Health at the University of Manchester during her intercalation year.
