Would you like to work on cutting edge research that is making a real difference in the prevention and early diagnosis of cancer? We currently have two opportunities to join and support the research activities of Professor Amanda Cross and our Cancer Screening and Prevention Research Group (CSPRG) based at the St Mary’s Campus of Imperial College London, located in Paddington.

You will work within an internationally renowned multidisciplinary group undertaking research into the prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer, the second biggest cancer killer in the developed world. Joining a friendly, highly motivated team, you will be involved in several clinical research projects funded by the UK Government and charities, including Cancer Research UK.

Research Support Officer

You will have previous experience of working in a research or higher education environment, helping to ensure that projects run smoothly and professionally to the standards of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and to meet the requirements of project funders, sponsors and relevant regulatory bodies. Knowledge of clinical research regulatory requirements and familiarity with medical terminology is therefore an advantage. You will also have administrative experience in budgeting, diary management and meeting organisation and with dealing with personal and confidential information.

This post is full time and fixed-term until 31st December 2021 in the first instance.

Research Assistant / Junior Epidemiologist

Under the supervision of Prof. Cross, and working closely with other members of the team, you will be involved in designing and analysing clinical and epidemiological studies, and you will assist with the preparation of these studies for publication. You will be expected to become familiar with all research currently being undertaken by the CSPRG, and you will take a broader interest in the field of colorectal cancer as a whole.

We are seeking a motivated professional with a background in epidemiology. You will be educated to BSc degree level or equivalent, in a science or health related subject and hold a relevant Master’s degree.
